COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business / Science at UniSC is a structured double degree program that combines business studies with scientific knowledge to prepare students for diverse and future-focused careers. The program begins with introductory courses in accounting principles, economics, management, marketing, information systems, and core science subjects such as cell diversity, biodiversity and ecology, introductory chemistry, science research methods, and general scientific discovery. These subjects build a strong foundation in both business operations and scientific understanding. In the developing stage, students study business law, followed by graduate-level courses that focus on workplace readiness, business governance and society. The program also includes specialised subject choices such as statistics for ecological data or advanced research methods, along with field studies, analytical sciences, research projects, or workplace learning opportunities. Students are required to complete a Work Integrated Learning project or industry placement to gain practical experience. A key feature of this degree is the ability to choose one Business major and one Science major, such as marketing, human resource management, digital futures, biology, biotechnology, chemistry, or ecology. Overall, this program prepares graduates for careers in science-based industries, environmental management, research, consulting, and business innovation by combining scientific expertise with strong business and analytical skills.
