COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business / Criminology and Justice at UniSC is a double degree program that combines business education with criminology, law, and justice studies to prepare students for careers in both corporate and criminal justice environments. The program begins with introductory courses in accounting principles, economics, management, marketing, criminology, criminal justice systems, policing, sociology, and human behaviour, giving students a broad understanding of how society, crime, and business systems operate. In the developing stage, students study business law, applied crime prevention, criminal law, and social research, which help them understand both legal frameworks and analytical research methods. The graduate-level courses focus on professional readiness, business governance, ethics, diversity in crime and justice, and workplace preparation through “World of Work.” Students also complete a Work Integrated Learning project or industry placement to gain real-world experience. The program includes a business major such as marketing, human resource management, or small business management, along with criminology electives like criminal profiling, forensic science, youth justice, crime research methods, and victim support studies. Overall, this degree prepares graduates for careers in policing support, corporate security, policy development, justice services, fraud prevention, and business risk management by combining business expertise with criminology knowledge.
