COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business / Commerce (Accounting) at UniSC is a structured program that combines core business education with specialised accounting knowledge to prepare students for careers in finance, accounting, and corporate management. The degree begins with introductory courses in accounting principles, business research, economics for business, management, marketing essentials, and information systems in organisations. These subjects provide a strong foundation in how businesses operate and make financial decisions. In the developing stage, students study financial accounting, business finance, business law, company accounting, and law of business associations, building essential technical accounting and legal knowledge. The graduate-level courses further advance skills in management accounting, taxation law and practice, auditing, professional practice, and contemporary accounting issues, along with broader topics like business governance and career preparation through “World of Work.” A key feature of the program is the Work Integrated Learning option, where students complete either a project or industry placement to gain real-world experience. The degree also includes a chosen business major, allowing students to specialise in areas such as marketing, human resource management, or business administration. Overall, this program prepares graduates for professional accounting careers, financial analysis roles, auditing, taxation, and broader business leadership positions.
