COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business (Tourism, Leisure and Event Management) at UniSC is a structured program that combines core business knowledge with specialised training in tourism and event industries. The degree begins with introductory courses in accounting principles, business research, economics for business, management, marketing essentials, and information systems in organisations. These subjects provide a strong foundation in understanding how businesses operate and make strategic decisions. In the developing and graduate stages, students study business law, career preparation through “World of Work,” and broader topics such as business governance and society, which help them understand ethical, legal, and social responsibilities in business environments. A key feature of the program is the Work Integrated Learning option, where students complete either a project or an industry placement to gain practical experience in real-world settings. The degree also includes eight specialised courses from the Tourism, Leisure and Event Management major, focusing on areas such as tourism planning, event coordination, hospitality management, destination marketing, and sustainable tourism practices. In addition, students can choose between 72 and 96 units of elective courses to tailor their studies. Overall, this program prepares graduates for careers in tourism, hospitality, event management, and leisure industries by combining academic learning with practical, industry-focused experience.
