COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) at UniSC is a structured program that combines core business knowledge with specialised skills in managing people and workplace systems. The degree begins with introductory courses in accounting principles, business research, economics for business, management, marketing essentials, and information systems in organisations. These subjects help students build a strong foundation in how businesses operate and make strategic decisions. In the developing and graduate stages, students study business law, career preparation through “World of Work,” and broader topics such as business governance and society, which provide an understanding of ethical, legal, and organisational responsibilities. A key component of the program is the Work Integrated Learning option, where students complete either a project or industry placement to gain real-world experience in a professional environment. The degree also includes eight specialised courses from the Human Resource Management major, focusing on areas such as workforce planning, employee relations, organisational behaviour, talent management, and workplace culture. In addition, students can choose between 72 and 96 units of electives to personalise their studies. Overall, this program prepares graduates for careers in human resources, recruitment, training and development, employee relations, and people management by combining theoretical learning with practical industry experience.
