COURSE CURRICULUM

This UniSC degree combines studies in both Arts and Business, giving students a broad understanding of humanities, communication, and business management. The program begins with introductory courses in accounting, economics, marketing, management, business research, information systems, communication, and Indigenous studies, helping students build strong foundational knowledge across multiple disciplines. Students then progress to developing-level subjects such as business law and career planning, followed by graduate-level courses focused on employment preparation, governance, society, and advanced humanities research projects. The degree also includes practical learning opportunities through work-integrated learning projects or placements, allowing students to gain real-world industry experience. A major feature of the program is the flexibility to choose one Arts major and one Business major according to personal interests and career goals. Arts major options include areas such as Criminology, English, Journalism, Geography, Sociology, International Studies, Screen Media, and Theatre and Performance, while Business major options include Marketing, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Tourism, Finance, and Small Business Management. Students can also choose elective subjects at advanced levels to further customise their studies. Overall, this interdisciplinary program develops strong communication, analytical, research, and business skills, preparing graduates for diverse careers across media, management, government, communication, and corporate sectors.
