COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of International Sports Business/Master of Sports Analytics program requires students to complete 160 units, comprising 150 units of core courses and 10 units selected from the Course List. The program combines advanced sports business management with data analytics, preparing graduates to lead and innovate in the global sports industry. Core courses provide knowledge in organisational behaviour in sport, global sports marketing, sports economics, sponsorship, sports integrity, athlete and agency management, leadership, and sustainability in sport enterprises. Students also develop strong analytical capabilities through subjects including big data, storytelling with data, sports analytics, sport business statistics and analytics, talent identification and recruitment, applied performance analytics, and data wrangling and visualisation. These courses equip students with the skills to collect, interpret, and communicate data for strategic decision-making, athlete performance evaluation, and organisational improvement. The program also includes an applied workplace placement, allowing students to gain valuable industry experience and apply their knowledge in professional sporting environments. By integrating business strategy, leadership, ethics, and advanced analytics, the curriculum prepares graduates for careers in sports management, performance analysis, athlete management, sports marketing, business intelligence, talent identification, consulting, and data-driven decision-making within professional sports organisations, governing bodies, sporting clubs, and related industries worldwide.
