COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information Technology is a comprehensive program designed to develop students’ technical knowledge, analytical abilities, and practical skills required for success in the modern digital industry. The program requires completion of 240 units, including 140 units of core courses, an 80-unit major, and 40 units of electives or an elective pathway. Students gain a strong foundation in essential information technology concepts, including software development, data management, digital systems, programming, and technology-based problem-solving. The ICT Business Analyst major focuses on preparing students to analyse organisational needs and design effective technology solutions that align with business goals. Students develop expertise in understanding stakeholder requirements, improving business processes, and translating business challenges into practical ICT strategies. The major includes studies in areas such as big data analytics, programming, data visualisation, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making. Through practical learning experiences, students develop the ability to evaluate information systems, interpret complex data, and support organisations in making informed technology decisions. Graduates are prepared for careers such as ICT business analyst, systems analyst, data analyst, ICT consultant, project coordinator, and technology solutions specialist, with skills to help organisations successfully adopt and manage digital innovations.
