COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Food Science and Human Nutrition/Bachelor of Business is a multidisciplinary combined degree program designed to provide students with advanced knowledge in food science, nutrition, and business management. The program requires completion of 320 units, including 210 units of core courses, an 80-unit Bachelor of Business major, and additional studies in human health and wellbeing, career-ready placement, and areas of interest. Students develop a strong understanding of food chemistry, nutrition science, food safety, microbiology, food product development, food analysis, and the role of nutrition in health and disease. The business component enhances students’ skills in areas such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, analytics, entrepreneurship, and international business practices. Students can choose from a range of business majors, including Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Leadership and Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, and International Relations. The program also includes professional practice and industry placement opportunities, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Graduates are prepared for careers in food industries, nutrition services, health promotion, product development, quality assurance, business management, and entrepreneurial ventures within the growing food and health sectors.
