COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Mathematics is a five-year combined program designed to provide students with advanced knowledge in electrical engineering, mathematics, and statistics. The program requires the completion of 400 units, including core engineering courses, a Mathematics and Statistics major, specialised electrical and electronic engineering courses, and compulsory industrial experience requirements. Students develop strong foundations in electrical systems, electronics, programming, energy systems, embedded computing, control systems, communication technologies, signal processing, and sustainable engineering practices. The Mathematics and Statistics major enhances analytical and problem-solving capabilities through studies in mathematical modelling, calculus, statistics, predictive analytics, and advanced mathematical concepts. The combination of engineering and mathematics provides students with valuable skills for solving complex real-world problems across areas such as automation, telecommunications, renewable energy, data analysis, and technological innovation. The program also includes engineering work-integrated learning, industry experience, and final-year engineering projects, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.
