COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Media and Communication is a 320-unit interdisciplinary program designed to combine practical business knowledge with advanced communication and media skills. The program structure includes 130 units of core courses, 10 units of career-ready placement, 10 units from the Business Course List, an 80-unit Business major, an 80-unit Media and Communication major, and 10 units of electives. The core courses provide students with essential knowledge in accounting, business analytics, finance, marketing, management, creative collaboration, media concepts, communication, digital media engagement, global media industries, audience interaction, and creative communication practices. Students gain valuable professional experience through career-ready opportunities such as industry placements, professional studios, and work-integrated learning projects. The Business component allows students to specialise in areas including Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Leadership and Management, Human Resource Management, International Relations, and International Business, helping students develop expertise aligned with their career interests. The Media and Communication component enables students to build skills in content creation, storytelling, digital media, and strategic communication. Through this combined degree, graduates develop the ability to understand business operations while effectively communicating ideas across different platforms and audiences, preparing them for careers in marketing, public relations, media production, digital communication, business development, and creative industries.
