COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Biomedicine/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) is a comprehensive 400-unit combined degree that integrates biomedical science expertise with professional legal education. To fulfil the program requirements, students complete 160 units of core Biomedical Science courses, 160 units of core Law courses, and an additional 80 units of advanced Law courses from the approved course list. The Biomedical Science component provides a strong foundation in human health and disease through subjects such as Anatomy for Biomedical Science, Human Genomics and Biomolecular Analysis, Biomedical Science, Critical Thinking and Scientific Process in Biomedicine, Human Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Cancer Biology, Clinical Research Design, Pathophysiology, Infection and Immunity, Bioinformatics, Anatomical Pathology, Reproduction and Pregnancy, and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Skills. The Law component develops essential legal knowledge and analytical skills through core courses including Legal System and Method, Torts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Contracts, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Civil Dispute Resolution, Evidence, Company Law, Professional Conduct, Equity and Trusts, Property Law, and Public International Law. By combining scientific understanding with legal reasoning, this program prepares graduates for interdisciplinary careers in healthcare regulation, medical research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical industries, intellectual property, bioethics, government policy, and legal practice. Graduates gain the ability to address complex challenges at the intersection of science, medicine, and law.
