COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) program combines comprehensive legal education with broad studies in arts and humanities, allowing students to develop professional legal skills alongside knowledge of society, culture, communication, and global issues. The law component includes essential core courses such as Legal System and Method, Torts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Contracts, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Civil Dispute Resolution, Evidence, Company Law, Professional Conduct, Equity and Trusts, Property Law, and Public International Law. Students also complete advanced law electives covering areas such as Commercial Law, Family Law, International Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Law, Taxation Law, Advocacy Skills, International Trade Law, Mediation, and Legal Innovation. The Arts component requires students to complete foundational courses including BA Futures, BA Practice, and BA Project, along with a career-ready placement or professional studio experience. Students select an Arts major from disciplines such as English and Writing, History, International Relations, Psychology Studies, Sociology and Anthropology, Linguistics, Japanese Studies, Performing Arts, or Screen and Cultural Studies, along with an optional minor or electives. This flexible structure enables graduates to build specialised expertise and pursue careers in law, government, business, NGOs, international organisations, community services, and other sectors requiring strong analytical, research, communication, and legal reasoning skills.
