COURSE CURRICULUM

The UNSW Master of Professional Accounting (Extension) requires students to complete a total of 96 Units of Credit (UOC) when taken as a standalone program, providing a structured pathway that combines core accounting knowledge with flexible elective or professional accreditation options. The program includes 60 UOC of compulsory core courses, which establish a strong foundation in accounting and related business disciplines. These core subjects typically cover key areas such as financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, economics, finance, business law, and information systems, ensuring students develop a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and their application in real-world business contexts. In addition to the core component, students complete 36 UOC of electives or may choose the CPA pathway, allowing them to tailor their studies to individual career goals.
