COURSE CURRICULUM

The UNSW Master of International Business requires students to complete a total of 96 Units of Credit (UOC) when undertaken as a standalone program, providing a flexible structure that allows students to tailor their studies according to their career goals. The program is designed to build strong foundations in international business while also offering opportunities for specialisation and elective study. Students complete 36 UOC of core courses that establish essential knowledge in global business practices, international strategy, cross-cultural management, ethics, and global economic environments. In addition, students can choose whether or not to pursue a 24 UOC specialisation in areas such as International Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, International Human Resource Management, or Societal Impact, depending on their professional interests. If a specialisation is completed, students undertake 30 UOC of electives; otherwise, they complete 54 UOC of electives to broaden their expertise across various business disciplines. These electives allow students to deepen or diversify their knowledge in international business-related subjects. All students must also complete a 6 UOC capstone course, which integrates learning through practical, real-world business problem-solving and strategic analysis. The program structure is designed to ensure both academic depth and flexibility, enabling graduates to develop a strong global business perspective and the ability to operate effectively in complex international environments while addressing economic, social, and ethical challenges in global markets.
