COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering (Renewable Energy) at UNSW Sydney is a 96 Units of Credit (UOC) postgraduate program designed to develop advanced technical knowledge and professional skills in renewable energy engineering. The program is structured around a 96 UOC specialisation, allowing students to build in-depth expertise across key areas such as renewable energy systems, photovoltaics, energy efficiency, systems engineering, energy storage, power integration, and energy assessment frameworks. This specialisation ensures students gain both broad understanding and advanced technical capability aligned with the global transition to sustainable energy. A compulsory requirement of the degree is ENGG4999 – 60 Days of Industrial Training, which provides structured, pre-approved professional experience in real engineering environments. This industrial training allows students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical energy and engineering challenges, develop workplace competencies, and gain exposure to industry standards, renewable energy technologies, and engineering workflows. It also significantly enhances employability by building hands-on experience and professional readiness in the energy sector.
