COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Construction Project Management/Master of Property and Development at UNSW Sydney is a 2.5-year postgraduate double degree structured over seven academic terms, comprising 18 courses and a total of 108 Units of Credit (UOC). The program is designed to provide a comprehensive blend of disciplinary knowledge, applied learning, and research experience across both construction project management and property development. Students complete 14 disciplinary core courses that build essential expertise in areas such as project planning, construction processes, property development, financial management, risk analysis, and sustainability in the built environment. In addition, students undertake one prescribed elective course, allowing them to tailor part of their learning to specific interests or career goals. The program also includes a dedicated research preparation course, which equips students with the methodological and analytical skills required for advanced academic inquiry. A key feature of the degree is the final research project, which students complete in their last semester. This independent project allows students to specialise in a focused area of interest and apply their knowledge to a real-world professional context in project management or property development. Before beginning the project, students complete a research seminar that develops their research design and analytical skills. Overall, the program prepares graduates for leadership roles by combining technical expertise, industry relevance, and strong research capability.
