COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Arts and Social Sciences (Combined) is structured as a 96 Units of Credit (UOC) double master’s degree, designed to be completed over approximately two years of full-time study. The program allows students to pursue two distinct specialisations within the Arts and Social Sciences disciplines, completing 48 UOC in each chosen area. This balanced structure ensures that students gain equal depth of knowledge and expertise in both fields, enabling them to graduate with two specialised master’s qualifications. Each specialisation consists of advanced coursework tailored to its discipline, covering theoretical foundations, applied knowledge, and professional practice relevant to areas such as Journalism and Communication, International Relations, Public Policy, Education, Environmental Management, Translation, Applied Linguistics, Development Studies, and related fields. The program is designed to promote interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and advanced research skills, allowing students to understand complex social, cultural, and global issues from multiple perspectives.
