COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Fine Arts / Bachelor of Media is a double degree program requiring students to complete a total of 192 Units of Credit (UOC), with 96 UOC allocated to each degree component. The Bachelor of Fine Arts section focuses on the development of creative, technical, and theoretical expertise through a chosen specialisation, enabling students to build advanced artistic skills and a strong understanding of contemporary creative practice. Students can engage deeply in their selected artistic discipline while exploring innovative approaches to creative expression and professional practice. The Bachelor of Media component also consists of 96 UOC and is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of media, communication, and related industries. This component includes 24 UOC of foundation courses that establish core knowledge and essential skills in media studies, communication, and digital culture. Students then complete a 48 UOC specialisation, allowing them to gain focused expertise in a specific media-related field and develop industry-relevant competencies. The remaining 24 UOC consists of expansion courses, which offer opportunities to broaden knowledge, explore complementary disciplines, and enhance professional versatility. Together, the Fine Arts (Program 4830) and Media (Program 3341) components create a balanced and interdisciplinary qualification that combines artistic creativity with media and communication expertise. Graduates develop strong creative, analytical, and professional skills, preparing them for diverse careers across the arts, media, communication, and creative industries.
