COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Fine Arts / Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is a comprehensive double degree requiring the completion of 264 Units of Credit (UOC), combining advanced creative practice with professional engineering education. The Bachelor of Fine Arts component consists of 96 UOC and allows students to specialise in a chosen creative discipline, developing artistic, technical, and theoretical expertise through intensive studio-based and academic study. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) component comprises 168 UOC and is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required for a professional engineering career. In addition to academic coursework, students must complete at least 60 days of approved Industrial Training, enabling them to gain valuable industry experience and apply their learning in real-world engineering environments. The engineering program includes at least 48 UOC of disciplinary knowledge and enquiry-based courses that develop specialised engineering expertise, along with 30–42 UOC of introductory core courses that establish strong foundations in mathematics, science, computing, and engineering principles. Students must also complete a minimum of 12 UOC of elective courses, allowing flexibility to explore additional areas of interest, while the remaining credit requirements are fulfilled through foundation disciplinary knowledge courses. Together, the Fine Arts (Program 4830) and Engineering (Honours) (Program 3707) components create a multidisciplinary qualification that prepares graduates for innovative careers spanning both creative and technical fields.
