COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Fine Arts/Bachelor of Arts double degree requires students to complete a total of 192 Units of Credit (UOC) over four years, with an equal distribution between the two degrees. The Bachelor of Fine Arts component consists of 96 UOC and focuses on developing advanced creative, practical, and theoretical skills within the chosen fine arts discipline. The Bachelor of Arts component also comprises 96 UOC and provides students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of humanities, social sciences, and related fields through specialized academic study. Within the Arts degree, students can choose between two study pathways. The first option includes one major specialization worth 48 UOC, one minor specialization worth 36 UOC, and 12 UOC of prescribed electives, allowing for greater flexibility and interdisciplinary exploration. Alternatively, students may complete two major specializations, each worth 48 UOC, enabling more extensive study across two academic areas. The program structure is designed to balance creative practice with critical and analytical learning, helping students develop both artistic expertise and broad intellectual capabilities. Students should also be aware of major and minor exclusion rules that may limit certain combinations of specializations. Overall, the degree combines the disciplinary requirements of Fine Arts (Program 4830) and Arts (Program 3409), providing a comprehensive and versatile educational experience.
