COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) requires students to complete a total of 168 UOC within their chosen specialisation, structured to progressively develop technical expertise and professional engineering capability. At Level 1, students undertake Core Courses worth 42 UOC, which establish foundational knowledge in mathematics, science, and basic engineering principles essential for further study. Level 2 Core Courses are the most extensive, contributing 60 UOC and focusing on strengthening core engineering concepts, analytical skills, and discipline-specific fundamentals. At Level 3, students complete 24 UOC of Core Courses that introduce advanced theoretical and applied engineering topics, preparing them for more specialised and complex problem-solving. Level 4 Core Courses worth 30 UOC focus on advanced engineering practice, integration of knowledge, and preparation for professional industry expectations. Alongside core studies, students complete 12 UOC of Discipline Electives, allowing them to deepen expertise or explore specialised areas within their engineering field. Recommended Free Electives provide additional flexibility, enabling students to broaden their academic experience or develop complementary skills outside their main discipline.
