COURSE CURRICULUM

Students must complete a total of 192 UOC, which is divided equally between the Bachelor of Economics and the Bachelor of Science, with each component contributing 96 UOC. The Bachelor of Economics component is structured to provide a strong foundation in economic theory and business knowledge. It includes an Introductory Business Core worth 6 UOC, which introduces essential business concepts, followed by Economics Core Courses worth 48 UOC that develop key analytical and theoretical skills in economics. Students also complete Economics Electives worth 30 UOC, allowing them to explore specialised areas of interest, and Business School Electives worth 12 UOC to broaden their understanding of related disciplines. Students have the option to organise their Economics core and elective subjects into an approved Economics major, with some courses counting towards both major and degree requirements, offering flexibility in academic planning. The Bachelor of Science component also accounts for 96 UOC and is designed to provide scientific breadth and depth. It includes Core Courses that establish foundational scientific knowledge, an approved Bachelor of Science major that allows focused study in a chosen discipline, Science Elective Courses for additional exploration, and Employability Experience Courses that build practical, career-ready skills. Together, the double degree integrates economic analysis with scientific expertise, preparing graduates for diverse and impactful careers across multiple industries.
