COURSE CURRICULUM

The Double Degree Structure requires students to complete a total of 240 UOC, combining studies from both Economics and Law. The Economics component accounts for 96 UOC and includes four parts: an Introductory Business Core worth 6 UOC, Economics Core Courses worth 48 UOC, Economics Electives worth 30 UOC, and Business School Electives worth 12 UOC. Students also have the option to structure their Economics subjects into an optional major, where selected core and elective courses may count towards both the major and degree requirements, allowing greater flexibility and efficiency in study planning. The Law component makes up the remaining 144 UOC and is more extensive, reflecting the professional accreditation requirements of legal education. It includes Law compulsory courses worth 96 UOC, which provide foundational knowledge of key legal areas and principles. In addition, students complete Law elective courses worth 42 UOC, allowing them to explore specialised areas of law and tailor their studies to individual interests or career goals. A further 6 UOC is allocated to a Law prescribed elective, ensuring exposure to essential advanced or focused legal content. Overall, this double degree structure integrates economic theory with comprehensive legal training, preparing graduates for careers in law, public policy, business, and related professional fields.
