COURSE CURRICULUM

The double degree requires completion of 192 UOC in total, combining studies from both Economics and the Bachelor of Arts. The Economics component accounts for 96 UOC and includes an introductory business core worth 6 UOC, followed by 48 UOC of core economics courses that build essential knowledge in economic theory and econometric methods. Students also complete 30 UOC of economics electives, allowing them to deepen their understanding in areas of interest such as econometrics, economics, or financial economics. An additional 12 UOC of Business School electives provides further flexibility, and students may structure their studies so that core and elective economics courses also contribute toward an optional economics major, depending on course selection rules. The Bachelor of Arts component also totals 96 UOC and offers flexibility in designing a personalised academic pathway. Students must complete either one major (48 UOC) plus a minor (36 UOC) and 12 UOC of prescribed electives, or alternatively two majors of 48 UOC each. This structure allows students to combine technical economic skills with broader arts-based learning in disciplines such as humanities, languages, or social sciences. Overall, the program is designed to produce graduates with strong analytical abilities, interdisciplinary knowledge, and adaptable skills suited for diverse career paths in business, government, and research.
