COURSE CURRICULUM

Criminology & Criminal Justice and Psychological Science is structured as a 192 Units of Credit (UOC) program that integrates two 96 UOC disciplinary components. Students complete Criminology & Criminal Justice studies consisting of 42 UOC of core courses, 36 UOC of Social Science core, and 18 UOC of prescribed criminology electives, building foundational knowledge of crime, justice systems, and social policy. In parallel, the Psychological Science component comprises 78 UOC of psychology courses covering cognitive, developmental, social, biological, physiological, and abnormal psychology, along with research methods and data analysis training. To broaden academic flexibility and interdisciplinary learning, students also undertake 18 UOC of free electives, allowing exploration across complementary fields or specialised interests. The program’s structure ensures balanced development of theoretical understanding and applied skills across both disciplines, enabling students to analyse human behaviour and criminal justice issues through multiple perspectives. By combining structured core learning with elective choice, the degree prepares graduates for diverse career pathways in justice services, mental health, policy development, and research roles that require strong analytical and evidence-based decision-making abilities.
