COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Construction Management and Property at UNSW is a three-year full-time program requiring a total of 144 Units of Credit (UOC). It is structured to build strong technical, managerial, and industry-focused skills for careers in construction and property development. In Level 1, students complete 48 UOC of core courses that introduce foundational knowledge, including construction materials, building structures, building measurement, construction methods, and construction and property economics. These courses help students understand how buildings are designed, measured, and constructed. In Level 2, students complete 36 UOC of more advanced core courses such as building services, construction law, estimating, procurement, contract administration, and construction planning. These subjects focus on project coordination, legal frameworks, and cost management in construction projects. In Level 3, students complete another 36 UOC of advanced courses including risk, health and safety management, digital construction, property development, construction project management capstone, and business strategy and entrepreneurship. These courses prepare students for leadership roles in the industry. The program also includes 12 UOC of free electives and 12 UOC of general education courses, allowing students to broaden their learning. Overall, the degree combines technical construction knowledge with business and management skills, preparing graduates for careers in construction management, property development, project management, and related industries.
