COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW is a three-year full-time degree structured to build strong business knowledge, practical experience, and career readiness. Students begin with an Integrated First Year, where they complete eight core commerce courses along with career-focused programs like the MyBCom Blueprint and MyBCom First Year Portfolio, which help with skill development and career planning. In the second year, students focus on their chosen major by completing four commerce courses, along with three elective courses that can either deepen their major or allow them to explore a second major. This year also includes a mandatory Work-Integrated Learning experience, such as an internship or practicum, which gives students real-world industry exposure. In the third year, students continue with four more courses in their major and four additional electives or second-major subjects. They also complete the MyBCom Graduation Portfolio, which reflects their learning and career development. The program is flexible, allowing students to tailor their studies based on interests and career goals, and includes optional summer study terms. Overall, this structure ensures students graduate with strong academic knowledge, practical business experience, and professional skills, making them well-prepared for careers in finance, consulting, accounting, marketing, analytics, and global business industries.
