COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Economics requires students to complete 96 credit points, with specific requirements depending on the admission rule. Candidates admitted under Rule (a) must complete 96 credit points, including no more than 18 credit points at 100-level, 18 credit points at 200-level, 24 credit points at 300/400-level, and at least 36 credit points at 500-level, following the approved program of study. Candidates admitted under Rule (b) must complete 96 credit points, with no more than 18 credit points at 300/400-level and at least 36 credit points at 500-level. Candidates admitted under Rule (c) must also complete 96 credit points, including no more than 12 credit points at 300/400-level and at least 36 credit points at 500-level. Under Rule A, students complete core units, choose between a capstone project or dissertation, and select units from approved majors. Rule B applies to students with advanced standing and includes core units, research options, and approved majors. Rule C also includes advanced standing, core units, research pathways, and listed elective units.
