Core units include biology, ecology, plant diversity, chemistry, soil science, geology, aquatic ecology, GIS and quantitative methods, as well as a sequence of Environment in Practice units and Australian Aboriginal Sustainability Systems, ensuring students gain both scientific knowledge and cultural understanding relevant to environmental management. In addition to coursework, students complete 40 hours of practical experience through the Environmental Science Practical Experience requirement. Beyond the core units, students tailor their degree by selecting one major worth 48 credit points. Available majors include Applied Management, Conservation and Ecology, Natural Resources, People and Environment, and Vegetation and Landscapes, allowing students to specialise in areas aligned with their career goals. To complete the degree, students must also undertake 24 credit points through either a minor or elective units.
