COURSE CURRICULUM

To complete the award, students must successfully pass units totaling 144 credit points, ensuring no more than 60 credit points are taken at the 100 level and at least 36 credit points are completed at the 300 level. The course is structured into two pathways depending on the mode of admission. Students admitted through UNE follow Schedule A, which consists of core units, approved majors, minors and elective units that provide flexibility to tailor the degree to individual interests and career goals. Students admitted through Open Universities Australia undertake Schedule B, which includes a set of core units, listed units and one approved major that together ensure breadth and depth in criminology studies. Both schedules are designed to provide foundational and advanced knowledge, supported by opportunities for skill development and specialisation.
