COURSE CURRICULUM

The course structure for the Bachelor of Business requires students to complete 144 credit points, ensuring they meet key progression rules by completing no more than 60 credit points at 100 level, at least 36 credit points at 300 level and no more than 12 credit points at 400 level. Study at the UNE Sydney Campus is offered only to full-time, on-campus students admitted under Rule A or Rule E and is available for the Accounting, Analytics and Informatics, Digital Marketing or Finance majors. Students choosing the Accounting major and aiming to complete all units required for professional accounting body entry will not be able to complete two majors, and those selecting Analytics and Informatics are also restricted from taking a second major. Under Rule A, students must complete 48 credit points of core units, including topics such as accounting information, economics, communication, marketing, management, business ethics, strategic planning and business statistics. Beyond the core units, students complete majors, minors or elective units depending on their chosen pathway, with elective options drawn from any university unit provided prerequisites and course rules are met. Additional pathways are offered through Rules B, C and D for overseas articulation programs, Australian TAFE or RTO graduates and Australian Defence Force personnel.
