COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Agribusiness requires students to complete 144 credit points, including no more than 60 credit points at 100 level and at least 36 to 48 credit points at 300 level or above, with a maximum of 12 credit points at 400 level depending on the requirements of each major. The course includes 72 credit points of core units that provide a strong foundation in agribusiness and related disciplines. These core units cover essential areas such as agribusiness principles, farm and resource management, supply chain management, agricultural and natural resource policy, agribusiness case studies, fundamentals of agriculture, sustainable agricultural systems, microeconomics, macroeconomics, risk management, business statistics and business analytics. In addition to the core units, students must complete one 48-credit-point major from a range of options, including Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics, Agricultural Production, Business, Finance or Marketing and Management. These majors allow students to build specialised expertise that aligns with their career goals in the agribusiness and food sectors. Students must also complete either one minor or 24 credit points of elective units. Minors are available in areas such as Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics, Agricultural Production, Business, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance or Marketing and Management. If a minor is not selected, students may choose 24 credit points of electives from any discipline across the University, provided they meet course rules and prerequisites. This flexible structure enables students to tailor the degree to their interests while ensuring they develop the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the diverse and evolving agribusiness industry.
