COURSE CURRICULUM

The MPhil is primarily a research-based degree with no formal coursework component, though students may be required to complete some training in research methods, ethics, or specific skills relevant to their project. The curriculum centers on a major research thesis of approximately 30,000-40,000 words, conducted over the duration of the program. Students work closely with a supervisor to design and execute their research, which must be original and contribute to the field of biomedical science. Milestones include a confirmation report, progress reviews, and a final oral examination. Optional workshops on data analysis, scientific writing, and presentation skills are available to support research development.
