The Master of Environment at Melbourne is a 200-point program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to address complex environmental challenges and contribute to sustainable solutions. The program combines core subjects with a wide range of elective options, enabling students to tailor their studies to their individual career goals and interests. Core subjects provide a strong foundation in environmental management and sustainability, while elective subjects allow students to explore specific areas in depth through one of twelve specialisations.Specialisations include Development, Conservation and Restoration, Integrated Water Catchment Management, Waste Management, Environment and Public Health, Education and Social Change, Governance, Policy and Markets, Sustainable Cities and Regions, Energy Efficiency Modelling and Implementation, Climate Change, Environmental Management and Science, and a Tailored Specialisation. Students are required to complete at least two subjects from their chosen specialisation, ensuring focused expertise in a relevant area.Elective options also include applied research projects, industry internships, and overseas field trips, providing students with hands-on experience and the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.
