COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Entrepreneurship (Enhanced) is a 150-point program designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to launch new ventures or innovate within established organisations. The course is structured around four foundation subjects, four core subjects, three constrained electives, and one freely chosen elective. In the first year, students develop a strong entrepreneurial base through foundation subjects, including Entrepreneurial Practice, Entrepreneurial Organisation, Managing Innovation, and Building Entrepreneurial Ventures. These subjects introduce key concepts such as opportunity recognition, organisational dynamics, innovation processes, and venture creation, giving students the tools to understand and navigate the challenges of starting and growing businesses. In the second semester of the first year, students progress into core subjects and constrained electives, covering areas such as Business Model Innovation and Seminars in Entrepreneurial Finance, alongside electives like Marketing for Entrepreneurs and New Venture Creation: Initiation. These subjects focus on practical application, enabling students to design, finance, market, and implement their entrepreneurial ideas. In the second year, students deepen their skills and knowledge through core subjects such as Managing Growth and Entrepreneur Within, while continuing with constrained electives like New Venture Creation: Validation and Social Entrepreneurship. This combination of theory, practical application, and exposure to social and ethical dimensions of entrepreneurship ensures that graduates are prepared to manage the complexities of new ventures, scale businesses, and pursue innovative opportunities in various sectors. The program emphasizes experiential learning, mentorship, and engagement with Melbourne’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, providing students with access to industry experts, investors, and networks that support venture development. By completing this program, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the entrepreneurial process, from idea generation and validation to growth and impact, preparing them to succeed as innovators, business leaders, and change-makers in a dynamic global economy.
