COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Computer Science is a 200-point program that combines advanced coursework with significant research training, designed to prepare students for both industry roles and further academic study. The structure begins with a compulsory subject in research methods (12.5 credit points), equipping students with essential skills in academic inquiry, critical analysis, and technical communication—foundations necessary for both professional work and research careers.Students must also complete at least two foundational computer science subjects, amounting to 25 to 37.5 credit points. These foundational subjects ensure a solid understanding of core concepts and techniques in computing, tailored to each student’s academic background and career goals. Building on this, students then take four or more elective subjects, totaling between 50 and 62.5 credit points. These electives are drawn from a wide range of topics and allow students to specialize in areas of particular interest or industry relevance.Elective options span several high-demand fields, including advanced computer science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, human-computer interaction, programming languages and distributed computing, and spatial information. This flexibility ensures that students can tailor their learning to current trends and emerging technologies in computing.A key component of the program is the compulsory 100-point research project, which spans a significant portion of the degree. This project provides students with the opportunity to explore a research problem in depth under the supervision of academic experts.
