COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Architectural Engineering grants all students 100 points of advanced standing based on their prior background, with an additional 350 points required to complete the degree. The first year includes 100 points of core subjects, while the second and third years comprise 250 points, including a 25-point Capstone Project.Students entering with an undergraduate architecture major complete an initial 8-subject engineering sequence worth 100 points in the first year. Those entering with an engineering major follow an 8-subject architecture sequence for their first year. After the first year, all students join a shared second-year sequenceFor architecture graduates in Year 1, Semester 1 core subjects include Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Critical Communication for Engineers, and Engineering Mathematics, each worth 12.5 points. Semester 2 core subjects consist of Earth Processes for Engineering, Engineering Materials and Mechanics, Structural Theory and Design, and Geotechnical Modelling and Design, also each valued at 12.5 points. This sequence provides a strong engineering foundation before moving into integrated architectural engineering studies in later years.
