The Master of Applied Linguistics offers flexible study options tailored to students’ academic and professional backgrounds, with three entry points: the 200-point, 150-point, and 100-point programs. The 200-point program, typically completed over two years full-time (or part-time equivalent), is the most popular option and is designed for those who have completed an undergraduate degree in any field, with no prior experience required. The 150-point program, completed in 1.5 years full-time, is aimed at students with an undergraduate degree in a cognate or related discipline, also requiring no prior experience. This program can be completed fully online, offering greater flexibility for working professionals or remote learners. The 100-point program is a one-year full-time (or part-time equivalent) option intended for students who have completed an honours degree or have at least two years of professional experience in a closely related field, alongside relevant academic background. It is also available through online learning. Across all streams, students gain a strong theoretical and practical foundation, preparing them for a range of roles in education, assessment, curriculum development, and program evaluation. The program is particularly suited to those working or aspiring to work in areas such as TESOL, language testing, and English language education.
