COURSE CURRICULUM

The PhD program is predominantly research-based, with candidates required to produce a substantial thesis of 80,000 words that contributes new knowledge to the field of science. There is no mandatory coursework, but students may undertake optional subjects or training in research methodology, data analysis, ethics, and professional development. Progress is monitored through regular milestones, including a confirmation report, mid-candidature review, and completion seminar. Supervision is provided by at least two academics, and students are encouraged to present at conferences and publish papers. The curriculum emphasizes independent research, innovation, and scholarly communication.
