COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Professional Engineering program consists of a combination of core and elective units designed to develop advanced technical knowledge, professional skills, and industry experience. Core units focus on essential areas such as Technology Management, Engineering Project Management, Principles of Sustainability, and Risk Management in Projects and Engineering Industries, each worth 12.5 credit points. Candidates also complete units that strengthen professional practice, including Professional Masters Practice of Work, Research Methods, and Opportunity Discovery, Creativity and Design, as well as substantial project-based units such as the Professional Engineering Entrepreneurship Project and the Professional Masters Industry Project, each worth 25 credit points. These core units equip students with the ability to manage engineering projects, implement sustainable practices, assess and mitigate risks, and apply research methods to practical challenges. Elective units allow students to tailor their learning to individual career goals and interests. Options include Leading, which focuses on leadership skills, and the Engineering Postgraduate Internship, which provides practical industry experience.
