COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering Science comprises core units that develop advanced research, technical, and professional skills essential for engineering practice. Engineering Project Management (CSM80006) focuses on planning, executing, and managing engineering projects, covering aspects such as risk assessment, resource management, and project evaluation. Professional Practice in Engineering (EAT80003) prepares students to meet the ethical, regulatory, and professional standards required in the engineering industry. Research Methods (ICT80011) provides the analytical and methodological skills necessary for conducting rigorous, systematic research. The Engineering Master Major Thesis (ENG80002), a 50-credit-point unit, enables students to undertake independent research, apply advanced technical knowledge, and contribute original findings to their field. Together, these core units equip graduates with the expertise to work as professional engineers, lead complex projects, and develop innovative solutions in areas such as electrical power generation, mechanical systems, telecommunication network design, and civil engineering project management.
