COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering Science includes core units designed to develop advanced engineering, research, and professional skills. Engineering Project Management (CSM80006) focuses on the planning, execution, and management of engineering projects, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and project evaluation. Professional Practice in Engineering (EAT80003) prepares students to meet ethical, regulatory, and professional standards required in the engineering industry. Research Methods (ICT80011) provides the methodological and analytical skills necessary to conduct rigorous research and critically evaluate engineering problems. The Engineering Master Major Thesis (ENG80002), a 50-credit-point unit, enables students to undertake independent, research-driven projects, apply advanced technical knowledge, and contribute original findings to their field. In addition to these core units, students select specialisation units tailored to their chosen discipline, allowing them to gain deeper expertise in areas such as electrical, mechanical, civil, or telecommunications engineering. Collectively, these units prepare graduates to work as professional engineers, lead complex projects, and develop innovative solutions to address contemporary engineering challenges.
