COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering Practice requires students to complete 100 credit points, consisting of two core units and twelve specialisation units to qualify for the award. The core units, Engineering Project Management (CSM80006) and Research Paper (CVE80001), provide essential skills in managing engineering projects and conducting professional research.For those specialising in Civil Engineering, students must complete four core specialisation units and two additional specialisation units, allowing them to focus on advanced technical areas within the field. Available specialisation units include Sustainable Transport (CVE80003), Advanced Concrete Design (CVE80004), Geotechnical Design (CVE80007), Integrated Water Design (CVE80009), Estimating and Project Costing (CSM80016), Bridge Design and Strengthening (CVE80005), Infrastructure Deterioration Modelling (CVE80006), Principles of Sustainability (CVE80010), Bridge Design (CVE80020), and the Building Design Project (CVE80021).By completing these core and specialised units, graduates gain a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and practical research experience, preparing them for advanced professional roles in civil engineering and related industries. The program equips students with the knowledge and applied skills needed to tackle complex engineering challenges and contribute effectively to real-world projects.
