COURSE CURRICULUM

Progress reviews are structured assessments used to monitor the academic progress of research candidates and provide feedback at key stages of their candidature. These reviews ensure that students are on track with their thesis work, actively engaging in research training, and developing the necessary skills to successfully complete their degree. The timing of each review depends on the student’s degree program and enrolment status.The preconfirmation review occurs approximately three months after enrolment and focuses on the completion of initial thesis-related tasks and participation in research training workshops. The confirmation of candidature review is scheduled between nine and twelve months, assessing progress in thesis development and ongoing engagement with research training. The mid-candidature review takes place between twelve and twenty-four months, providing an in-depth evaluation of the candidate’s research progress and readiness to continue toward thesis completion. Finally, the draft thesis review is conducted between thirty-three and thirty-six months, with a follow-up review three months prior to thesis submission, ensuring the candidate is prepared for final submission.Throughout these reviews, feedback from supervisors and review panels guides candidates in refining their research, addressing any challenges, and meeting academic expectations. This structured approach helps maintain steady progress, supports skill development, and prepares students for successful completion of their research degree.
