COURSE CURRICULUM

The program includes a set of core units designed to develop advanced knowledge and research skills in architecture and urban design. The Design Research Studio A, a 25-credit point unit, provides an in-depth, project-based environment where students can undertake independent design research and apply theoretical concepts to practical design challenges. Dynamic Modelling of Cities, worth 12.5 credit points, focuses on the analysis and simulation of urban systems, equipping students with skills to understand and model complex city dynamics. Theories of Buildings and Cities, also 12.5 credit points, explores architectural and urban theory, helping students critically evaluate the relationship between built environments and societal, cultural, and environmental contexts. Together, these core units integrate design practice, analytical techniques, and theoretical knowledge, preparing students to engage with complex architectural and urban issues in innovative and informed ways.
