COURSE CURRICULUM

The Graduate Diploma of Aviation offers a structured pathway for aviation professionals to gain advanced knowledge and skills in management, safety, and operational leadership. Students can earn a Graduate Certificate by completing three core units—Human Factors and Advanced Technology (AVA80004), Aviation Industry Fundamentals (AVA80012), and Marketing in Aviation (AVA80032)—along with one elective unit. This provides foundational knowledge in aviation operations, human factors, and industry-specific skills.Progressing to the Graduate Diploma requires completing an additional three core units—Safety in Operational Teams (AVA80003), Airline Revenue Management and Pricing (AVA80034), and Leading High Performance Organisations (AVA80039)—plus another elective. Elective units can be chosen from a range of options, including Economics (ECO80001), Business Information Systems (INF60007), Cloud Enterprise Systems and Analytics (INF60012), Business Strategy (MGT80002), Leadership for Innovation (MGT80005), Strategic Project Management (INF70005), and Governing Technology for Business Environments (INF80042). Additional electives from other disciplines may also be selected, subject to approval and availability.Through this combination of core and elective units, students develop expertise in aviation management, safety behaviours, strategic planning, and leadership. The program equips graduates with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed to advance into management roles, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to the strategic growth and safety of aviation organisations.
