COURSE CURRICULUM

The Diploma of Information Technology (UniLink) offers a structured program that introduces students to the fundamentals of computing, programming, and emerging technologies. The course is designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to work effectively with modern IT systems and digital solutions. In the core component of the diploma, students undertake units such as Fundamentals of Programming, which provides essential programming skills and problem-solving techniques, and Digital Technology in an Indigenous Context, which explores the application of digital technologies within diverse cultural and societal frameworks.Students also study Computer Technology, gaining a strong understanding of hardware, software, and computing infrastructure, alongside Cloud Computing, which introduces the principles and practical applications of cloud-based systems. The Computing Systems Project serves as a capstone-style unit, enabling students to integrate their learning by designing and developing a functional computing project, applying both programming and technical knowledge in a practical context.Together, these core units develop critical skills in programming, system management, and cloud technologies, while fostering an understanding of how IT solutions can be implemented responsibly and collaboratively.
