COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Screen Media (Digital Production) prepares students for careers in content creation, video production, audio-visual media, and immersive storytelling. From the first year, students gain practical experience with industry-standard tools and techniques, including digital imaging, video and audio production, postproduction and editing, and sound design. Core units introduce fundamental skills for capturing, manipulating, and presenting media across multiple platforms. In the second year, major units such as immersive screen narratives, web series production, and sound design for screen allow students to refine their technical abilities while experimenting with storytelling, interactive media, and motion capture technologies. Digital postproduction techniques, 3D production, and production for digital platforms equip students with specialized skills to create professional-quality content for a variety of formats. Throughout the degree, students engage in applied learning opportunities, including professional placements that provide real-world industry experience. These placements allow students to work in media companies, production studios, or digital agencies, developing practical skills, professional networks, and insight into industry workflows. In the final year, students consolidate their learning through capstone projects, including screen production development, 3D visual effects, volumetric capture, and radio, audio, and podcasting projects. Students also have the chance to participate in creative industry experiences, collaborating on real-world briefs to create high-quality digital media content. Elective units offer flexibility to specialize in areas such as advanced editing, interactive media, or experimental production.
