COURSE CURRICULUM

The indicative sequence for the Bachelor of Business program in Semester 1, 2026 provides a structured pathway for students to develop both foundational knowledge and specialized skills in business, management, and analytics. Students are advised to use the study plan template available via their student portal alongside their course planner to organise their studies, noting that the sequence may vary depending on advanced standing or exemptions, and unit offerings may change over time. In the first year, students complete core units in Financial Information for Decision Making, Economics for Business Decision Making, Business Digitalisation, and Contemporary Management Principles in Semester 1, followed by Business for Sustainability, Social Change and Impact, Creative Mindset and Entrepreneurship, Financial Statistics, and Marketing and the Consumer Experience in Semester 2. These units provide a solid grounding in accounting, finance, economics, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and sustainable business practices.In the second year, students progress into major-specific units such as Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Big Data Management, Cloud Approaches for Enterprise Systems, Operations Management, and Procurement Management, alongside a selection of electives. This stage allows students to focus on areas such as supply chain, operations, and information systems while developing analytical and strategic decision-making skills.The program also offers professional placement opportunities to integrate real-world experience with academic learning. Students may choose a major 12-month placement, which includes Work Experience in Industry A and B and Integrated Professional Placement A and B, or a minor six-month placement, covering Work Experience in Industry A and Integrated Professional Placement A. These placements provide practical experience, industry networking, and professional skill development.In the third year, students undertake advanced major units, including Transportation Management, Understanding Risk Management, and the Business Consulting Project, alongside electives that allow for specialization in areas such as Sustainable Business Practice, Future Work Skills, internships, or study tours. This combination of core study, majors, electives, and professional placement ensures that graduates are equipped with the knowledge, technical expertise, and industry experience needed for successful careers in business, management, and supply chain disciplines.
